Staff wellbeing hub, Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy by Wellwood Leslie Architects

The covid pandemic changed the way we look at many things, but nothing more so than healthcare. Throughout the pandemic the health sector saw a significant increase in demand for its services with pressure reaching record levels in both 2020 and 2021. The effect of this was significant on staff with a corresponding detrimental impact on their health and wellbeing. NHS Fife, along with many other boards, sought to address this challenge by forming new wellbeing centres for staff known as staff hubs.


Carnoustie Golf Centre Extension by Wellwood Leslie Architects

Wellwood Leslie were appointed in 2015 to develop proposals to alter and extend the existing golf facilities at the world-famous Carnoustie Links. The proposals centre on the redevelopment the existing atrium space creating an organising element to the redeveloped facility.

Extension works were completed under tight timescales in 2018, ahead of 147th Open at Carnoustie Links.

The new facility now boasts a 100-seat bar and restaurant with spectacular views over the golf courses, a pro-shop, 7no. high-tech golf simulator bays and supporting office accommodation, all contributing to the high-quality golf offering at Carnoustie Links.

The Niblick, Refurbishment of catering facility for The R&A by Wellwood Leslie Architects

As part of an ongoing working relationship with The R&A, Wellwood Leslie Architects were appointed to design and oversee works to refurbish and refresh branding at The R&A World Golf Museum’s catering facility, The Niblick.

West Regent St, Glasgow by Wellwood Leslie Architects

Wellwood Leslie Architects have been successful in securing planning permission and listed building consent for the refurbishment, conversion, and vertical extension of the upper floors of the buildings to form modern serviced 1-bedroom apartments and studios.

 Rossie on the Earn by Wellwood Leslie Architects

Rossie Byre is located at the heart of a 250 acre family farm with stunning views over the carse of Earn in the Perthshire countryside. The proposed facility converts a series of former farm buildings (including cattle shed, byre and hay barn) into an enchanting blank canvas for anyone wishing to add their own style to a wedding or formal event.
