Specification Magazine - October 2017
Dumfries Baptist Church Centre has been mentioned in a double page spread in the October 2017 edition of Specification Magazine for our use of spray applied insulation as a solution to a complex insulation challenge. We are happy to have worked along side Icynene and JSJ Foam Insulation Ltd.

Ayrshire Magazine - November/December 2015
Have a look at our feature in Ayrshire Magazine for the restoration of Saltcoats Town Hall. The project brief called for extensive restoration of the grade ‘B’ - listed Saltcoats Town Hall, in order to return the building to its former glory and re-establish it as the civic and heritage focal point of Saltcoats and the ‘Three Towns’ (Ardrossan, Saltcoats & Stevenston).

Ideal Home - June 2011
McLean Architect's project, Beacon, has been featured in the June issue of Ideal Home magazine.The article
focuses on the interior design of Don McLean's home, providing tips and advertising various key pieces of
furniture and fixtures to allow readers to achieve a similar look in their own homes.
Homes & Interiors Scotland - December 2010
For the second time this year Beacon, a McLean Architect's favourite, has been featured in a magazine publication. The article details the story behind the project as well as the difficulties overcome and the site restrictions which informed this stunning new build.
Scotland's Housing Expo - 2010
In 2010 we took part in Scotland's first ever Housing Expo. Plot 24 at the Highland Housing Fair was won through a
design competition to provide cutting edge sustainable housing. The concept for Responsive Environmental Design
(RED) Homes is based on the idea of eco-minimalism.The two semi detached house are subdivide into three zones:
rest, service and live.

Homebuilding & Renovating - January 2010
Homebuilding & Renovating magazine has featured Beacon, a recent project of ours. Beacon was designed by Don McLean, Managing Director, as a family home. Situated in the suburbs to the North of Glasgow this striking contemporary new build home takes maximum advantage of the restricted site and its open aspect, both to north and south, with open plan living space situated at the uppermost level. The article gives a little back story to the project and explains how restrictions caused by the site drove the design.
