Antibody Analytics - Phase 1

Antibody Analytics engaged Wellwood Leslie in 2019 to undertake feasibility investigations into the redevelopment and fit out of an existing building to form their new operational headquarters. The brief revolved around the requirements of a new R+D laboratory, supporting staff facilities, open plan office and allowance for considerable future expansion.

The existing building was constructed some time in the 1970s/1980s. It was originally built and used as a B&Q DIY retail outlet until 2016. Around one half of the building was fitted out to achieve the scope of the first phase with the remainder being retained as storage and future lab expansion to facilitate business growth. Downtakings and external alterations also included formation of new windows in the external envelope, new glazed front and rear entrances and betterment works to external areas and landscape.

Immediately upon completion of this first phase, Phase 2 discussions began in relation to creating an additional regulatory lab, improved staff facilities and a variable configuration suite of meeting rooms. Phase 2 is scheduled to commence in 2022 for completion in 2023.
