Sector: Industrial & Agricultural
The Wellwood Leslie have developed a strong track record in the design of industrial buildings through our ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of clients and fellow consultants. From a local base, we have completed large industrial developments for Schlumberger (now Tokheim), Scott and Fyfe, a textile manufacturing firm, Brown and Tawse Steel Stockholders and Ravensby Glass.
Wellwood Leslie have worked with companies who have secured Regional Selective Assistance Grants from Scottish Enterprise to secure capital assistance for their development projects. More recently our focus has expanded to include the petrochemicals sector, through our close collaboration with IKM Consulting Ltd. (now Arthian Ltd). New relationships have been established which have led to us working on projects for INEOS at Grangemouth Refinery, Mitsubishi Chemicals UK Ltd. and Dragon LNG in Wales.
Whilst projects have grown in size and have taken us further afield, we retain a strong local presence providing high quality design services to a number of local companies and organisations including the James Hutton Institute who carry out agricultural research at their facility in Invergowrie and at their research farm at Balruddery in Perth and Kinross.
Our industrial activities, undertaken in conjunction with our consulting partners have also taken us into the energy sector where we are currently providing designs for new entrants in the industrial hydrogen market and the flexible gas fired electrical power market.
Our skills and abilities allow us to support our clients from the inception stage of these projects and to assist clients to fully consult and engage with their staff teams and key stakeholders to develop an effective and engaging strategy to create modern working environments that are suitable for the processes and activities that drive their businesses. Our briefing and working templates are designed to ensure that the end users and engaged throughout the design process to facilitate a seamless process of occupation once the contracting team has handed over the finished space.
As lead designers and in conjunction with our experienced subconsultants we continue to seek new opportunities to apply our knowledge on behalf of new clients operating within this key sector of the Scottish economy.
