Grangefield

Grangefield is a bespoke one-off 4-bedroom house, completed in 2021. Located on the outskirts of Earlsferry, the house is built on an irregular square plot, with spectacular views West over the Earlsferry Golf Course, and to the coastal landscape and Firth of Forth beyond. 

The two storey house features three double bedrooms and large master suite, generous kitchen/dining space, feature lounge on the first floor and garden snug. The shape of the building is manipulated, and rooms arranged to ensure all occupied spaces take in the spectacular views. 

The house is very sustainable, with high levels of insulation and air-tightness, and MHVR heat-recycling ventilation technology. The building was constructed to a high environmental standard, greater than that required by local building regulations. 

Wellwood Leslie took the project from initial conception, through concept and detailed design stages, and on technical design and construction, with a complete design and construction management services pack.

The project was on-site during the COVID-19, but with carefully oversight and good contractor engagement, the project was completed with minimal delay.
